Ali Yassin is a texturing and lighting artist focused on 3D animated films. He was born and raised in Cairo, Egypt. Ali came to the US to study Psychology at UC Berkeley for his Bachelor's, and halfway through the program, he realized that he wanted to pursue his love of animation and film more seriously. Ali completed his undergraduate program while also teaching and taking courses in 3D animation. After graduation, he then helped teach an advanced animation course for a year at Berkeley and then decided to do his MFA afterward at AAU. Mr. Yassin is interested in everything related to the science and art of animated filmmaking, and he cherishs his time at AAU in which he got to combine these interests alongside amazing collaborators!
