Michelle Li

Industrial Design / BFA

Hello, my name is Michelle. I am currently studying Industrial Design at the Academy of Art University. I'm also a food addict, coffee & tea lover, and--lastly--a positive personality.

Designing products and furniture is my passion. It is not just something that is used to fill up spaces; it needs to be aesthetically pleasing and functional. I accept this challenge by creating pieces that are innovative and timeless.

MERAKI

Creating transformable space-saving furniture which uses less space and provides dual functions using 3M VHB tapes. Changing the traditional way of how the furniture is installed, Meraki comes in a flat package and can be put together with 3M VHB double-sided tape. With four inspiring colors that can fit into all types of homes. Blue is trust, wisdom, confidence, and heaven. Blue is proven to be beneficial to the mind and body; it slows human metabolism and produces a calming effect. We also provided a natural oak material for customers that prefer the naturalistic feeling of wooden furniture.

Hygge

Hygge is a collection content four pieces, a double bed, a dresser, and two bedside tables. The bed is a double bed, that would have a beautiful headboard that would be comfortable for their head to lay on when they want to watch TV with the person next to them. The dresser would have a hidden handle, so when a customer walks up to it, it won't hurt them. The small side table would be next to the bed creating a place for them to place a cup of water or their phone on.
