Hello, My name is Krista McCandless, I’m from Lompoc California. I have a BFA in Graphic Design with seven-plus years of professional experience. I’m currently taking my very first class, model making, here at Academy of Art University. My mission is to improve ergonomics and human user experience with product design, while incorporating beauty as an important facet. Product Description

The LUME Lamp has customizable brightness that glows through a frosted translucent inner ring to create warm ambiance with the touch of a finger. The concept is inspired by the luminous phosphorescent glow on wrist watches and the lamp brightness represents the shift in time of day. The design of the kerf pattern on the live hinge exterior, and the way it connects to the ring, are reminiscent of the marks around a clock. LUME brings life, curves, and warmth to a flat rigid material.
