Zobia Khan
My Name is Zobia Khan, and I’m a senior Industrial Design student at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. I come from a fine art background, working extensively with symbolism and surreal expression. Through my training with professional designers over the past four years, I hope to achieve the goal of working to better communities through compassion and mindful innovation.
The Insha'Allah Project:
The goal of this project to design footwear to empower mental health and recognize its value. However to go beyond the efforts of enclothed cognition, the shoe comes paired with a mobile application, providing users with a network of mental health resources they may not have known about or been able to reach previously. Building a healthier conversation and approach to mental health in all its ebbs and flows.
