Nuo Wang
Nuo Wang's featured work includes a short, 3D animation in which she was responsible for all of the scoring and many of the sound effects. This short cartoon takes place in the kitchen of a Japanese restaurant. It tells the story of an inflatable fish that attempts to escape the fate of being cooked by a chef. Wang used the traditional Japanese instruments Hachijo and Sanxiandanduo to great effect in the score. Because these two instruments are very evocative of Japanese national style, Wang determined that they would be perfect for her collaborative project. In addition, she made great use of strings and percussion to add intrigue and texture to the composition. She sincerely hopes you appreciate this animated short.
